My favorite Slovakian power metal band has a new single out, and music video to accompany it. Ronnie König, the band’s founder and bassist:

“As most of our fans know, we started working on the Beyond Spacetime album with an incomplete line-up. We didn’t have a permanent singer, so we decided to approach it the same way we did with the Exodus album back in 2013, by inviting guest singers. However, then life happened and arranged everything for us in a very special way: during the recording process, we reconnected with two of our former singers, Mayo Petranin and Jota Fortinho, and together we decided it would be amazing to welcome both of them back into the band. To celebrate and highlight this reunion, we did a brand-new song featuring both of them singing together. The title of the song is ‘Echoes of Glory.’ This reunion isn’t just for this one track — it’s for the years to come! The line-up you see in the video is the one that will also play live.”

Mayo was the band’s lead singer when I first learned of Signum Regis, and it’s great to see him back in the fold. Here’s “Echoes of Glory”:

Stryper is releasing a new album this fall, Throne of Thorns, and have a released a music video of the title track:

It’s just amazing how these guys haven’t lost their fastball. You can hate them all you want, but you cannot deny they’re still bringing it from a talent perspective.

This is pretty great. Love Seth’s enthusiasm. That transition at 4:20 is <chef’s kiss>.

Just gave X-Sinner’s Goin’ Out With A Bang the first all-the-way-thru listen, and man, if you wanted some new AC/DC reminiscent of their “Thunderstruck” days, but with biblical lyrics, this is definitely your jam.

In the ’80s TV show Airwolf, Jan-Michael Vincent’s character, Stringfellow Hawke, played the cello. So it’s only natural that someone (in this case, Samara Ginsberg), has arranged the show’s ’80s-techno theme song for the cello. Eight, in fact:

A couple of weeks ago the guys in Weapons of God released a video for “Double Barreled Medicine,” off their 2025 album TRIbulation. The video features mostly footage from their set at Immortal Fest 2025 in Versailles, Ohio, along with submissions from fans.

Love this song. Great riffs, Leon’s gravely vocals, it’s just a lot of fun.

The legends Rex Carroll and Ken Tamplin have combined forces to give us “Where Do We Go From Here?”. This was quite a treat on a snowed-in weekend!

The boys in Messenger have released a new video for their song “Messenger at Arms,” from their 2020 album In To Win. It’s very metal!

Happy new Stryper music day! The band released a single, “Still the Light,” from their upcoming Christmas album. Great lyric video!

Sabaton released an animated lyric video for their latest single, “Templars,” and I like the simple animation style.

There’s also the official video, which features the band as members of the Templar order.

Given that the history and end of the Templars figured prominently in Rob Kroese’s excellent Cross-Time Crusade series, I found the band’s choice for a song an inspiring worlds-collide for me.
