Thanks to Kelly and his @aggressionradio podcast, today I discovered Greek metal band Diviner. Their song “The Earth, the Moon, the Sun” is epic.

And then they grow up and become one of the tastiest animals God ever fashioned. (Especially if you’ve got a great butcher with the right venison sausage recipe.)

Five Finger Death Punch covers Kenny Wayne Shepherd’s “Blue on Black”, and bring along Shepherd, Brantley Gilbert, and Brian May for good measure. Proceeds from the song’s sales benefit first responders through the Gary Sinise Foundation.

I have myriad thoughts on the new Star Wars trailer and what it means for the movie. We definitely need to record a new @bigfatgeekpod episode.

Watching the Joker trailer, I’m left with two thoughts:

  1. I’m certain Joaquin Phoenix is going to bring everything he has to the role, just as Heath Ledger did with it in The Dark Knight.
  2. This is going to ruin the mysteriousness of Ledger’s Joker, much like Lucas ruined the mysteriousness of Boba Fett with Attack of the Clones.

Because who doesn’t want some “Boogie Woogie Piano” while catching a train in London?
