Watched the film Nobody tonight (finally). @mrbobodenkirk is fantastic; it’s a fun flick with some great dark humor moments. And boy, does Derek Kolstad have a thing for Russian mobsters or what?

Confession: if I happen to catch Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy (the Gary Oldman version) while channel surfing, I’ll stop and watch, no matter where it is in the movie, until the end. It’s simply one of those films that is so nearly perfect in every facet of execution.

Twenty-five years since the release of L.A. Confidential, and man, does that film still hold up.

The King’s Man is a superb origin story, and dare I say, the best of the series thus far.

Short take from last night’s Dune viewing:

I am very pleased. It’s not perfect, but nothing will be unless it gets a big-budget, multi-season series. For the limits of feature film, it’s great. And because it’s a Villeneuve film, utterly beautiful.

Because this is my only day off from licensing study, I am now seeing Dune on the big screen.
