Yesterday, thanks to there being no new movies out due to Covid quarantines, I got to do something with my sons at our local dine-in theater I had only previously done with my father: see my favorite movie on the big screen.

Our budding engineer built his own Millennium Falcon from plans he found, using myriad random pieces in his LEGO collection.

It’s just like that.

Jackson McKay used footage from Rogue One and Star Wars Episodes IV-IX to create a tribute to his favorite starfighter, the X-Wing.

Unbidden, and with no input from me, my middle child asked if he and his younger brother could watch “the last #StarWars movie” (Rise of Skywalker), and now this #GeekDad is on the couch a little verklempt.

One benefit of quarantine is I finally got around to fixing the frame for my @theinkwellian-commissioned Boba Fett art so it can go back up on the wall.

Finally got around to listening to the “Rise of Skywalker” episode (#76) of The Movie Proposal. @skyejethani and I are of like mind about the film and every Star Wars movie since 1983. Worth a listen, casual nerds.

Go to sleep, go to sleep, go to sleep, my little green friend.

At long last, all three geeks are back behind the mics, and we’re talking Rise of Skywalker on the latest Big Fat Geek podcast!

Folks, I’m going to say something I never thought I would say:

Another Star Wars character is very quickly becoming my new favorite character, supplanting Boba Fett.

Of course, it only makes sense that it’s another Mandalorian…
